Illinois Central Railroad Motive Power Roster
This roster was originally from The Illinois Central Historical Society Membership Newsletter, Vol. 12 No.4, March,1998.
(1) 100-103 are former BN 9901, 9904, 9903 and 9916, respectively. 102
and 103 have not seen service and are listed as "Stored serviceable" by
the IC. IC 102 made its first trip on I01 to Memphis on 5/6/99 and
returned to Chicago on I04 5/7. 102 was painted with primer and its
number was spray painted on the nose. IC 102 has been repainted in CN
colors an sports the CN's Maple Leaf herald. Is it now CN 102?
The following is a roster of Illinois Central motive power as of March 23, 2000, and with the exception of IC 103, includes only units in active service.
