1482 | It appears that another SW14 is on its way to
Relco. IC 1482 is sitting in the yard at Dubuque. I was told that the unit has been in Dubuque for several days, but was rejected by the IC&E for an issue related to non-centering couplers. I believe the issue has been corrected and the unit will again be setout for the IC&E trip to Albia, Iowa. |

8097 | I was in Connorsville, Indiana today and found a
ex-Paducah & Louisville derrick PAL 903042. Is this a ex-IC or GM&O derrick? They were using it to scrap locomotives. This is the Connorsville & New Castle shortline that operates the north end of the line and the Whitewater Valley tourist line owns the south end. This was a large derrick, either 200 or 250 ton. It had 3 axle trucks. There was also a IC GP10 or 11 there, number 8097 in Operation Lifesaver paint scheme. |

8313 | I thought I would post this for anyone following the progress of the Paducah fleet. A couple of days ago I spotted three former IC Paducah geeps at the IHB yard in Riverdale, Il. Engines 8313, 8409, and 8417 were parked on a storage a storage track. All three have RMGX spray painted under the cab. The old work horses appear to have not been used since retirement.
